Dear Sisters,

First. Since 1851. I think our founders would be proud of where we have been and especially proud of where we are going. We started the summer off at Grand Convention in Phoenix, Arizona, by being recognized with the Diamond 4 Point Award and the Pi Pride Award. A donation was made to the Clasped Hands Fund of the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation in honor of our association. Our own Vicki Mathews Lilly was recognized with the Joan Perry Boatright Alumnae Loyalty Award at Grand Convention for personal devotion and continued service to Alpha Delta Pi.

Finest. Since 1851. We are growing in alumnae interest, ideas, goals and new programs. Sisters are visiting our website and then contacting us for more information on how to join the association. New ideas are explored every day. In the last three weeks, we have begun the new lionjobnet and it is already being used! One member’s husband was even offered a job thru this connection. We had such a large presence at the Ronald McDonald Golf Tournament in June and we were able to combine our efforts with collegians. Make plans to join us next year...June 2006. We are working on having “Reunion” get-togethers—where sisters from a particular decade are invited. (If you are interested in being a hostess for one, please let us know.) We are extremely excited about our role in the Ronald McDonald House Charities Capital Campaign and many of us can’t wait to see where this takes us. And then there is the Pop Tab Campaign which will soon be bringing Alpha Delta Pi’s name into the area’s high schools in addition to the other grades. Here our sisters are able to combine sorority and volunteerism in their children’s schools. What a winning combination!
As time marches on, change is inevitable. One of these changes for the alumnae association is that there will be only one printed newsletter this year (so don’t throw this one away!). We feel that to be fiducially responsible, we need to conserve on the cost of printing and postage. We will be sending E-vites for every event and also reminders for those events. We will mail invitations to the Holiday Brunch and Founder’s Day to dues paying members. Since we are progressing toward more communication being done electronically, we invite you to share your email address with us. We will only use it to communicate information about our alumnae association business. You may contact us with this information either by sending in your dues statement or by going online at www.gkcadpi.org.

Forever. Since 1851. I hope you will find it fun and worthwhile to join us this year.

Loyally,
Kay Carson Hamilton
